Anyone strolling along Dortelweiler Straße 87 in Frankfurt’s Nordend district is bound to be drawn in by the scent of freshly baked cakes, the hum of relaxed conversation, and the lush greenery spilling out from every corner. In early 2024, Besim Selimi took over Café Menthe, turning it into much more than a conventional café – it became a vibrant urban sanctuary.

With great dedication, Besim has crafted a space where food, community, and sustainability are harmoniously intertwined. The menu features vegan and vegetarian dishes, prepared with locally sourced, primarily organic ingredients, freshly purchased each day and lovingly prepared. Guests enjoy specialty coffees from Wacker’s, homemade cakes, and seasonal daily specials – all served in an atmosphere of warmth and welcome.
Those committed to social impact will find not only good food here but also an open heart and a generous spirit: initiatives, community groups, and small cultural events are invited to use the café space upon request.
With its welcoming atmosphere, neighborhood focus, and invitation to linger, Café Menthe offers a quiet retreat in the heart of the city.
In 2023, Besim Selimi received a EUR 45,000 loan from the Frankfurter Gründerfonds to support the acquisition and continued development of Café Menthe.
