The concept of microfinance can be understood as the provision of financial basic services for disadvantaged groups, which are not covered by conventional banks. Lending here refers to self-employment.
Frankfurt School Financial Services manages different vehicles to finance local Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) worldwide. These institutions provide basic financial services for low-income, micro/small companies or individuals such as loans, savings accounts or insurance policies.
The refinancing of these institutions is partly derived from international funds, in our case we can provide funding out of the GLS Alternative Investment – Mikrofinanzfonds and advise for funding out of the Wallberg S.A for the Wallberg Global Microfinance Fund.
