Investment Management
The real value of infrastructure lies not in the assets themselves, but in what they make possible: the essential services on which people and economies depend, and the opportunities that help them thrive.
Dimitri joined FS Impact Finance in July 2026 as Principal Infrastructure Finance. His current focus is the Resilient Infrastructure Fund, which seeks to mobilise capital for investments that make infrastructure in emerging and developing markets more resilient to climate change. Dimitri works on the Fund’s investment strategy and financial structure, develops its initial pipeline and engages with prospective partners and investors. He also serves as Strategic Advisor to the SCAF programme.
He brings more than 20 years of experience across infrastructure investment, development finance and credit. Before joining FS Impact Finance, he worked at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), developing infrastructure and climate finance opportunities across emerging markets.
Dimitri previously spent 15 years at the European Investment Bank (EIB), originating, structuring and managing investments in energy, transport, water, urban and digital infrastructure across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, he worked in credit ratings and financial guarantees at Moody’s, S&P Global Ratings and Assured Guaranty, and on SME credit lines and microfinance programmes at DAI.
He holds a master’s degree in East European Studies from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from King’s College London.
Outside work, Dimitri plays the violin, piano and clarinet, though not yet all three simultaneously. He reads widely in history, with a particular interest in the Late Roman Empire, enjoys hiking with his family in the Balkans and has a growing appreciation for Georgian wine.
